Firstly a massive thanks for subscribing and being here. Please know that I never take your presence for granted. I’m excited to launch my new weekly newsletter very soon, and I wanted to let you know before anyone else about how I plan to nurture this little corner of the internet.
You may have noticed that the name has already changed, to more reflect what I want this space to be. “All is well, my darling,” was something a very kind woman told me in my early days of sobriety, when I was struggling, and it has always stayed with me. So much so that I turned it into a chapter heading for my book, Glorious Rock Bottom. Now it’s the name of my Substack, a place that I want you to feel safe and supported in, one I hope will make you smile and lift your spirits when they might be down.
You are already subscribed to the free weekly newsletter, which will be something akin to my weekly gratitude list - all the things that have made me smile and think and feel better about life in the previous seven days. But I will also be launching a closed community that will provide a completely judgement free space to talk about the things that matter, and which we feel we can’t discuss anywhere else. I am increasingly finding social media such a toxic place, and I want this to be the opposite of that. Each week, there will be conversations, Q&As, and much, much more. We can talk about mental health, body image, and how to exercise for the way it makes you feel, rather than the way it makes you look. I want you to see this as your space as much as it is mine.
Now for squeaky bum time! After much tossing and turning in bed at night, I’ve decided to offer this closed community as part of my paid membership. I’m going to do this to keep it a trusted and secure place for all of us - sadly, there are few places left on the internet where we can do this without coming up against trolls. So how is it going to work?
Free subscription
You will receive my weekly gratitude list. This will come out every Sunday. Think of it as a little pick me up to stave off the Sunday scaries.
Paid subscription £5 per month/£50 a year.
Here’s what you’ll get:
Full access to my community. This will include exclusive Q&As with me; chats and occasional private voice notes and videos
You’ll also get full access to my entire archive on here.
You’ll also be supporting the life of this Substack and all the stuff I do for free as a mental health campaigner
This works out at no more than £1.25 a week, which sadly for this caffeine-addict, isn’t even the price of a cup of coffee. I will also offer a limited number of free subscriptions to those who need it.
Founding Subscription £150 a year
I’ll be offering a limited number of founding memberships. I’ve never done anything like this before and I hope it will appeal to some of you who want to have an even closer connection to me and the community. The plan is to have at least one annual gathering where we can meet and talk in real life. It might be a walk in the park together; or a meet up at a local cafe.
Now for the good news. As a massive thank you for being here I’d love to offer you all a 20 per cent discount on a paid subscription. If you sign up to become a paid subscriber in the next 48 hours you will never be charged any more than this for the rest of your life. (Obviously unless you unsubscribe!)
Finally thank you so much again
Bryony xx
